Whether you\u2019re using our OMRI-listed organic pellets, peat-free J-7Cs, or any of our other propagation solutions, the unit will take your operation to the next level.<\/p>\n The Jiffy Plug Expander has nozzle bars spraying from above and a water bath soaking the pellets from below, all to break the dry surface tension of the pellets for quicker expansion. It uses hot water for quickest results. You can set the water temperature to 130F or 54F depending on your needs. Just set the trays of pellets on the belt and they\u2019ll be ready for the seeds or cuttings in under a minute.<\/p>\n The pellet\u2019s root zone temperature is around 70F after bathing at the hotter setting, so you\u2019ll give your seeds and cuttings an immediate boost, even on cold days. For added convenience, the Jiffy Plug Expander has a dibbling function. It can be set up inline to feed directly into any seeding system and make this a one- to two-person operation.<\/p>\n The Jiffy Plug Expander maximizes speed, so you\u2019ll need minimal labor to start your propagation process.
