Sensitive crops
Nut shrubs are sensitive crops. Successfully growing them depends on meeting specific atmospheric, climatic and geographic conditions. A Mediterranean climate is key to providing enough sunlight and maintaining minimum temperatures needed for growth. Frost would damage new shoots, blossoms, and developing fruits.
Strong rooting with our Preforma Plugs
Grafting is a common propagation method for this type of crop. However, the cuttings’ vegetative material may be lost during the propagation process. Our Preforma Plugs are a good solution to this problem. The plugs will also ensure a high rate of rooting.
The next stage with Jiffy
The young plants can then be transplanted into bigger plugs such as the Jiffy-7 or 7C Pellets. Or you can use Jiffy Pots filled with our RHP-certified Jiffy Substrates. All of these guarantee superior plant quality, while allowing easy handling, and seasonal growing cycles.
