Hi!
My name is Udeni, Human Resources and Administration executive at Jiffy Sri Lanka (JSL). I’m 26 years old and I started my journey with Jiffy on January 1st, 2019.
Working at JSL
At JSL, our main operation involves the manufacturing of coir pith pellets called “Jiffy 7C pallets”. But next to that, we also produce other coco pith-based growing solutions such as grow blocks, grow bags, coco discs etc. My usual working day consists of 50% administrative tasks and 50% supporting peoples’ activities and a smooth HR operation within JSL.
Challenges
The HR team at JSL is the best team I could ask for. Cooperation and support from the team makes it easier to deal with daily working challenges that come along the way. It has made me become very passionate about overcoming challenges together, in Jiffy and beyond. These challenges empower me to be a better HR person day by day.
The human touch
As an HR loving person, working with and through people with a ‘human touch’ is the best thing in my position. The combination of work ethics and dedication from everyone makes that positive vibe within JSL, while friendly and supportive peers make working at Jiffy so much fun. The culture of JSL is built upon the concept of “We are one family”, and the Jiffy culture is embossed with love, integrity and dedication. Dedication towards work, but also towards the well-being of co-workers. Being respectful, passionate and reliable are key Jiffy values, which are close to my life.
